Support your local events

Summertime is a great time to get out and support your local community events.
From Relay for Life in Edwardsburg last month to this weekend’s Casssopolis Sidewalk Days and Underground Railroad Days in Vandalia, we encourage you to show off your local pride.
There are many who will remember back to the summers when Catsopolis Days dominated the summertime in the village.
It has been a while since that event ended, but through the efforts of many, sidewalk days are returning.
There will be plenty to do this Saturday in the Cassopolis area.
Downtown there will be live music, food, rides for children, corn hole games, a beer garden and a big city style dance at the Turtle Lodge to cap off the day.
A few miles down the road in Vandalia, the annual Underground Railroad Days showcase the area’s rich history.
We would invite everyone to come downtown and enjoy the events and to make some time to get to Vandalia to check out the Bonine House, Civil War encampment and even grab a soul food dinner.
We hear too often there is not enough to do in our local communities.
Well, that is not the case this weekend. So make sure you get out and support your local communities as they try to bring together one and all.
