David Charles Ciesiolka, 68, of Cassopolis, died peacefully Tuesday, June 9, 2015, in his residence in the presence of his family.
He was born Oct. 8, 1946, in Biloxi, Mississippi to Daniel and Thelma (Miltenberger) Ciesiolka. His parents preceded him in death.
Dave served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He will be remembered for his passion for the outdoors and wildlife. He enjoyed photography, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
David will be greatly missed by family and friends. He is survived by two sons, Nathan Ciesiolka of Cassopolis and Joshua (Lindsey) Ciesiolka of Galesburg; one sister, Catherine Potter of Indianapolis; four brothers, Paul (Terry) Ciesiolka of Lakewood, Colorado, Peter (Rachel) Ciesiolka of Niles, James Ciesiolka of Matthews, North Carolina, Daniel Ciesiolka of South Bend; his former wife, Christine (Spencer) Ciesiolka of Cassopolis; his dogs, Spider and Snowy; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather Saturday, June 13, 2015, from 4 until 6 p.m. for a time of sharing memories and telling stories in Connelly Chapel Wagner Family Funerals, 202 North Broadway Street, Cassopolis. Military Honors will be accorded Mr. Ciesiolka in a ceremony at 6 p.m. provided by active members of the Marine Corps and the William E. Lozier VFW Post #10704 of Cassopolis.
The family prefers memorial contributions be made in David’s name to World Wildlife Fund, 1250 24th Street NW, Washington D.C. 20037.
