The Dowagiac soccer team was blanked by host Three Rivers 8-0 in the final round of the Wolverine Conference consolation tournament.

The Chieftains trailed 7-0 at halftime.

Kaitlyn Ritchie, Jamie Barrett and Addy Cooper each had two goals for the Wildcats.

Lorena Marquez had eight saves for the Chieftains.

“We were down 10 players down due to injury, illness and honors night,” Dowagiac coach Ryan Haines said. “It was a game to get our younger players in for some playing time so they can get the experience. That will help us in the future.”
