Edwardsburg third, Dowagiac fourth after opening round

EAU CLAIRE — The opening round of the Wolverine Conference Golf Tournament was played in less than ideal conditions at Indian Lake Hills Monday.

Otsego battled rain to shoot 311, which was 17 strokes better than runner-up Plainwell, which shot 328.

Edwardsburg was third with a 332 and Dowagiac fourth with a 340.

The Eddies’ Carter Goodson earned medalist honors after shooting 72.

Dowagiac was led by Jordan Hagemann, who shot 77.
