STURGIS — Morgan Purschel scored four goals as host Sturgis defeated Niles 8-1 in non-conference soccer Friday.

Emil Brown had two goals for the Trojans, who outshot Niles 12-7.

Also scoring for Sturgis were Maddi Allen and Kayla Thornton.

Bailee Kessler and Emily Casey combined to stop seven shots for the Vikings.
