Cassopolis may have dominated possession and outshot the Shamrocks 26-0, but had a hard time finding the net Thursday night.

Goals by Lotte Pederson and Amy Adams lifted the Rangers to a 2-0 win over the Shamrocks in non-league soccer.

After waves of attacks and multiple shots, Pederson finally found the back of the net with 15 minutes left in the first half, with a beautiful left footed shot that looped over the Berrien keeper.

The unselfish play of Kortenei Suggs saw her pass a simple ball to Pederson’s foot and she quickly struck the ball before the Shamrock defenders could react.

The Rangers led 1-0 at halftime.

Cassopolis really came alive in the second half with Melody Cutting leading the charge from the midfield.

The Rangers seemed destined to score again, but had to wait until there were 10 minutes left in the game when Suggs sent a pass to onrushing freshman Amy Adams, who only had eyes for the back of the net.

Adams drilled the ball into the right corner of the goal from about 22-yards out.
