The Niles tennis team split a pair of SMAC matches Tuesday.

The Vikings defeated visiting Battle Creek Central 8-0, but lost to Battle Creek Lakeview 8-0.

There were a pair of three-set matches in the Battle Creek Central match.

Jessica Akey and Hannah Davis defeated Karanna Smith and McKayla Morah 5-7, 6-2 and 10-3 at No. 1 doubles.

Karla Espinoza and Ashley Lingle defeated Niang Siam and Za Ting 3-6, 6-4 and 10-5.
