Old Rugged Cross hosting Good Friday services

An ecumenical Good Friday service will be offered at The Old Rugged Cross Church in Pokagon Township, from 1 p. m. to 3 p.m. on April 3. There will be four half-hour segments, each led by the pastor of a variety of denominations.
• 1 to 1:30 p.m. – Pastor Jeff Whittaker of Michiana Christian Embassy Assembly of God Church (Niles)
• 1:30 to 2 p.m. – Pastor Brenda Gordon of Pokagon United Methodist Church (Pokagon)
• 2 to 2:30 p.m. – Pastor Jim King, Living Way Foursquare Church (Michigan City, Indiana)
• 2:30 to 3 p.m. – Pastor Dan Greegor, Bible Baptist Church (Sumnerville)
Each segment will include scripture, a devotion, special music and congregational hymn(s).
The church is located halfway between Niles and Dowagiac at 61041 Vermont St. in Pokagon Township, a quarter mile east of M-51 and half a block south of Pokagon Highway.
