Host Buchanan made short work of Coloma in the opening round of the Class B District Tournament Monday night.

The Bucks (18-3) outscored the Comets (1-19) 18-3 in the first quarter and never looked back in advancing to Wednesday’s semifinal with a 48-17 victory.

Buchanan will host Dowagiac (4-16) in the second semifinal at 8 p.m.

Jayla Bibbs led the Bucks with a game-high 15 points, while Brooke Wesner added 13 points.

Kayla Yore had nine points to pace the Comets.
