Southwest Michigan is now home to Entrepreneur magazine’s No. 1 carpet cleaning franchise for the past 27 years, Chem-Dry, and local owner Randy Reynolds is ready to hit the ground running.

“We are very excited to be launching our business and are proud to bring Chem-Dry’s superior cleaning process to more home and residents in southwestern Michigan,” Reynolds said, “Our focus will be on providing outstanding customer service, which is a tradition at Chem-Dry and has helped make us the number one carpet cleaning brand in the United States.”

The new business will serve the residents of Cass, Berrien and western Van Buren counties.

Reynolds was born and raised in Edwardsburg, where he graduated high school in 1979, and is a veteran of the United States Air Force, where he served from 1985-1989. After leaving the armed forces, Reynolds found a career in sales, working for Gordon Food Service for more than 15 years.

Leaders say Chem-dry is a nationally renowned franchise that leads the carpet cleaning industry. Chem-Dry’s claim to fame is their “hot carbonating extraction” process. This process uses carbonation to help clean carpet fibers with the use of a lot less water, which allows for a shorter drying time.

New to Chem-Dry is a unique type of cleaner, The Natural, which is 100 percent green.

Bill Zinke, vice president of marketing for Chem-Dry, said the company is positioned for success.

“It is thrilling to welcome passionate new franchise owners like Randy Reynolds into our system and give them the training, tools and know-how they need to create more healthy homes in their area and allow Chem-Dry to meet the needs of more consumers across the country,” Zinke said in a press release. “Our franchisees are the foundation of the success of our company and it’s because of people like Randy that Chem-Dry has such a high level of customer satisfaction and such a large base of loyal customers.”

Founded in 1977, Chem-Dry is the world’s largest carpet and upholstery cleaning service.

“I am really happy to be working with the Chem-Dry franchise,” Reynolds said. “I am very comfortable with their morals, their ethics, the support they offer, and just the way they do business.”
