Bobcats pick up third straight victory

ST. JOSEPH — The Brandywine Bobcats are on a roll.
The Brandywine boys basketball team outscored host Lake Michigan Catholic 20-10 in the fourth quarter to earn a 58-49 BCS Athletic Conference West Division victory Monday night.
The win was the third straight for the Bobcats, who are now 5-2 overall, and the fourth in their last five games. The win was also the first for Brandywine in the BCS West Division.
After leading 25-19 at halftime, the Lakers exploded for 20 third quarter points to take a 39-38 advantage in the fourth quarter.
Behind Chandler Plew’s 11 fourth quarter points, the Bobcats were able to reclaim the lead and get the victory.
Plew finished with 17 points.
Brandywine also got a game-high 18 points and a team-high six rebounds from Austin Knapp and 13 points and five rebounds from Andrew Duckett.
Danny McEachen and Jack Marsxzalec both had 13 points for the Lakers, while Ryan Stachowski added 12.
Brandywine is back in action on Saturday when it hosts Eau Claire. Tip-off is set for approximately 6:30 p.m.
