Niles freshmen beat Bobcats, lost to Mustangs

The Niles freshmen volleyball team beat Brandywine in two sets, 25-17 and 25-23 Monday.

“It was a battle of the mental game tonight,” Niles coach Samantha Zimmerman said. “After winning the tournament on Saturday by beating Brandywine the semifinals, the girls were faced with some good challenges as a team. They played well in the first set and really seemed to be starting right where they left off Saturday.

“In the second set though, we made many errors. It was those silly fundamental errors that made the second set close, but I was pleased that the girls battled back and won.”
