Niles City Councilmember Georgia Boggs said she is excited to welcome Rev. Lynn King Sr. to the Niles community.

She said she is confident he can help bring about positive change to an area where so many people have gone astray from the Lord’s teachings.

“I think he will be able to convey that God has something good for everybody in this area,” she said. “He is very highly motivated and is always putting God first — that is the key. I want people to know about him and that he is here to help.”

King presides over the non-profit Living Faith Outreach Ministry, which is located at 315 N. 5th St., Niles.

The ministry offers free non-denominational services open to anyone at 6 p.m. Wednesdays and 11:30 a.m. Sunday.

King said people in need could call him at anytime at (574) 302-7213 or (574) 232-8163.

“My mission is to spread the word of God and the gospel and serve the community and humanity,” he said. “Being here in the community is a blessing in itself — just to be here and help people. I am just doing God’s will.”

King, 60, said he heard the Lord’s calling to spread the word when he was in his mid 20s. He spent several years as an associate in multiple South Bend, Indiana, churches before coming to Living Faith Outreach Ministry in the summer of 2013.
