The Niles JV volleyball team was 2-0-1 at the SMAC Mini Wednesday.

The Vikings got off to a slow start, splitting with Gull Lake 8-25 and 25-18.

Niles rebounded to defeat Battle Creek Lakeview 25-18, 25-14 and defeated Battle Creek Central 25-17, 25-12.

“Overall the girls played great tonight,” Niles coach Sammee Schaller said. “Team chemistry and tempo was spot on. I was very pleased with their play tonight.”

Niles is now 22-7-7 on the year and is back in action on Saturday at the Gull Lake Invitational.
