Edwardsburg edged by Vicksburg 16-14

VICKSBURG — In a battle of Wolverine Conference unbeaten, visiting Edwardsburg wound up on the wrong end of a 16-14 score Friday night.
The Bulldogs (3-0) scored their only touchdown of the game in the opening quarter, and then used three Keenan Erb field goals to edge the Eddies (2-1).
Edwardsburg trailed 10-0 at halftime, but took a 14-13 lead into the final quarter on a pair of Dustin Vires touchdowns.
Vires scored on runs of 49 and 14 yards. Edwardsburg failed on its first conversion attempt and used a 2-point conversion run from Dante Razzano to cap its scoring.
The winning Erb field goal was from 24-yards.
Edwardsurg finished with 240 yards rushing, but did not complete any of its three pass attempts.
Vicksburg rushed for 244 yards and connected on one pass for 12 yards.
