Police investigate murder-suicide

Michigan State Police are looking for the suspect a hit-and-run accident following what they believe to be the murder of a Berrien County woman.
At 6:13 a.m. Monday, Berrien County 911 received a call of a female subject in the roadway in the 400 block of W. John Beers Rd., Royalton Township, Berrien County.
Officers arrived on scene and found a female subject deceased in the roadway. A male subject was found deceased nearby.
A preliminary investigation leads investigators to believe that David Tripp, 56, chased his wife Delaina, 41, across John Beers Road in Royalton Township. Delaina was shot in the roadway and David fled to the rear of his home where he took his own life.
After being shot, Delaina Tripp was struck by a westbound vehicle, which did not stop at the scene. This vehicle is a 1998 through 2002 Honda Accord. The color is unknown. The vehicle has under carriage damage and is missing the right front inner fender.
