Vikings win Polish Classic

BRONSON — The Niles baseball team defeated Berrien Springs and host Bronson to win the Polish Classic Championship Saturday.
The Vikings topped the Shamrocks 7-4 and then edged the Vikings 8-6 in the title game to improve to 22-10 on the season.
Connor Glick had a big day at the plate with three doubles.
Also picking up doubles for Niles were Taylor Weldy, Tate Brawley, Alex Hardy and Jordan Ham.
Darek Bullock-Mills added a triple and Brawley a home run.
Cody Thornton was the winning pitcher in the opening game as he tossed a five-hitter. Tyler Clutter picked up the win in relief in the championship game.
