Dowagiac Memorial Day Parade

Members of the Dowagiac VFW bow their heads in silence during a prayer in front of city hall.
The Dowagiac Union High School marching band stand outside the monument on Main Street.
The band plays “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” near the start of the day’s ceremonies.
Recently retired Army and Air Force veteran Lance Lechlitner speaks in front of city hall. The Dowagiac native was the guest speaker for this year’s event.

Miss Dowagiac Mackenzie Whitmyer and her court of honor greet parade visitors on their float.
Also participating in the parade was Miss Eau Claire/Sodus Jenna Tidey and her court of honor.
