With more than 1,600 signatures turned in to the Bureau of Elections Tuesday morning, Jim Bussler officially filed his candidacy for U.S. Congress in Michigan’s 6th district. Bussler, a retired nurse, said he would bring a fresh outlook to representation. He said he understands that the tables have been turned against the regular people and will remain turned until we level the playing field for all Americans.

Dissatisfied with a Washington plagued with professional politicians, Bussler said he would represent his constituents, not the lobbyists or their cronies.

“Strings come attached when politicians like Congressman Fred Upton have war chests funded by corporations who want something in return for their donations,” said Bussler in a press release.

Bussler said he does not owe political favors to anyone and is committed to leveling the playing field for all Americans; regardless of what the crony capitalists in the Republican and Democratic parties want.

“This is not a Democratic issue or a Republican issue. This is an American issue,” Bussler said. “Politicians have sold this country to their largest donors. I think people can agree; it is time we take a stand against them.”
