Two-car crash results in injuries for Niles man

A 20-year-old Niles resident was transported to the hospital for treatment after a two-vehicle accident in Howard Township Sunday.

According to Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr.,  Cass County police were called to a personal injury crash at approximately 6:30 p.m., at the intersection of Thompson Road and White Street.

Taylor McCain, 20, of Niles was traveling westbound on White St. when a southbound vehicle driven by Brandon Black, 16, of Niles, pulled out in front of him.

Both Black and his passenger, River Britton, were release at the scene.

McCain was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Safety belts were used and alcohol is not a factor. This case remains under investigation.

Assisting were Howard Township First Responders and SMCAS Ambulance.
