STURGIS — Back-to-back wins by Dylan Dixon and Hunter Vargo gave visiting Edwardsburg just a big enough lead to hold off host Sturgis in the championship match of the Division 2 District Tournament Thursday night.
The Eddies built up a 30-21 advantage with the wins by Dixon and Vargo.
Sturgis won the final two bouts of the night at 130- and 135-pounds to close the final margin, but it wasn’t enough.
Edwardsburg will now face Battle Creek Central in the semifinals of the regional Wednesday at Battle Creek Harper Creek High School.
Niles will face Three Rivers in the other semifinal.
