Winter Reading Club highlights library activities

The Adult Winter Reading Club at the Cass District Library will be from Feb. 2 through March 1.

Adults can fill out an entry slip once a week at their local Cass District Library branch for a chance to win a prize. There will be one drawing each week at each branch. Participants can enter one time each week even if they already won a prize. Stop by your local Cass District Library branch for more information or to enter beginning in February.

Family Movie Night

The Mason/Union Branch of the Cass District Library will be showing a family film at 6 p.m., on Tuesday, Feb. 4. In this animated sequel, Flint discovers that the invention that he thought was destroyed survived and is creating food-animals or “Foodimals!” Flint and his friends embark on a mission to destroy the machine and save the world. Free popcorn and water are provided. Come and enjoy family time at this free program that is open to the public.

Chocolate Bingo Night

Join us for a fun evening filled with chocolate and bingo at 6:30 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 13. We will be playing Bingo and each winner will get to choose a prize, which will include assorted chocolate items! Everyone will have fun tasting different types of chocolate and learning some fun facts about chocolate too. This program is free and open to the public.

The Main Branch of the Cass District Library is located at 319 M-62 North in Cassopolis.

 

All About Trucks Family Story Hour

Join us for a truck themed family story hour at 6 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 27. This fun evening will be filled with stories, games, snacks, a craft and more. The program is recommended for children ages 3-5 years old and their families. Sign-up is encouraged to prepare snacks and craft materials, but it is not mandatory. Call the Howard Branch Library at (269) 684-1680 to register. Children are invited to bring a favorite toy truck or other car with them to show. All children at the program will be entered into a door prize drawing.
