To the editor:

I would like to say thank you to our wonderful street department for a very good job doing the roads during our snowstorm. I know I have said this on Facebook.

They did their best in getting the main roads and then the side streets.

Please if you see a street light out, call the street department. They don’t know unless they are told.

Everyone during the winter time, it would be nice to check on your older neighbor to see if they are OK.

I total agree with our city councilman Scott Clark, to keep people from parking downtown from 10 pm. to 7 a.m. It would be a lot easier for city to plow better.

I also think after 2 day of snow that the sidewalk in the neighborhood should be shoveled or get a fine. We do have ordinance on this but it’s not being forced. I see so many kids walking on the street to get to school or bus stops.

I know there is not enough manpower. I would hate to see kids get hit by a car. Some of the Jr. High and high schools kids have to walk in the dark. Lots of kids these day are on their phone not watching what they are doing.
