Goodson put-back gives Niles a victory

Tatyanna Goodson found herself in the a position to give the Niles girls basketball team a win over arch rival Lakeshore.
She didn’t waste the opportunity.
Goodon, a transfer from Flint Southwestern, rebounded Libby Moody’s missed 3-pointer and put it in at the buzzer to lift the Vikings to a 47-46 Big 16 Conference West Division victory Tuesday night.
The win improved Niles’ record to 8-2 overall and kept it in the thick of the division race with a 5-1 mark.
Elyse Zimmerman led the Vikings with a game-high 16 points. Moody finished with 10 points, while Goodson ended up with seven.
Morgan Kaiser led a trio of Lancers in double figures with 11 points. Lauren and McKenzie Clem both scored 10 points.
