Brandywine lets one slip away against Indians

HARTFORD — After leading at each of the first three quarter breaks, visiting Brandywine was unable to hold off Hartford in boys basketball Monday night.

The Bobcats (2-6) led 9-8 after one and 19-18 at halftime. Brandywine took a 28-26 lead into the final quarter, but was outscored 12-8 by the Indians (3-3).

Austin Knapp had a game-high 12 points to lead the Bobcats, who also got seven points from Zach Schmidt and six points from Isaac Davis.

Casper Aviles led Hartford with 12 points.

Brandywine will host Bloomingdale in a non-league game tonight beginning at 7:30 p.m.
