Southwest Michigan Scholarship Program pageant applications available now

The Entry Forms are available for 2014 Mrs. Southwest Michigan, 2014 Southwest Michigan’s Pre-Teen and 2014 Southwest Michigan’s Princess. The Southwest Michigan Scholarship Program focus is on teaching the young people in the Greater Southwest Michigan Area leadership, community service, respect and honor.

All scholarships awarded through this program are given to the young people in the Greater Southwest Michigan Area only.

The princess program is open to young women between the ages of 6 and 9 by pageant date, living in the greater Southwest Michigan Area.

There are three phases of competition with the princess program. Phases include interview, which counts for 50 percent, formal wear (30 percent), on-stage question (10 percent) of the contestants’ scores.

The pre-teen program is for the young women between the ages of 10 and 12 by pageant date, living in the greater Southwest Michigan Area.

There are four phases of competition with the pre-teen program. The first phase is interview which counts for 50 percent, the second phase is formal wear which counts for 25 percent, the third phase is active wear which counts for 20 percent, and the fourth phase is the on-stage question which counts for 5 percent of the contestants’ scores.

In 2014, the Mrs. Southwest Michigan Scholarship Program will return. The Mrs. Program is open to married women between the ages of 24 and 60 by pageant date, living in the Greater Southwest Michigan Area.

The 2014 Southwest Michigan’s Princess Scholarship Program will be held on Saturday, April 23 at 2 p.m. The 2014 Mrs. Southwest Michigan Scholarship Program and the Southwest Michigan’s Pre-Teen Scholarship

Program will be held on Saturday, April 26 at 6 p.m. Over $3,000 will be awarded in scholarships and gifts this year.
