Motorsports has announced it will add a second dragster for the 2014 season, according to team owner Brad Myers.

“Taylor will join her father Tony in the top dragster/super pro class,” Brad Myers said.

Taylor is a sophomore at Dowagiac Union High School and has raced her junior dragster since she was eight. She  has been nominated, for the second straight year, by the Lynn St. James Foundation as one of the top females in motorsports.

“We just felt the timing was right to move Taylor up,” Tony Myers said. “She has been racing her car and working on my team and learning the ins and outs of the big cars. The big adjustment will be the acceleration of these cars from 0 to 110 mph in about 1.9 seconds. At more than 200 mph there is no doubt in my mind that Taylor will adapt quickly to her new car and be competitive right away.

“She is very focused and very eager to learn. Testing will begin in March and the first race of the season will be in Indy at the end of April.”
