The Cassopolis United Methodist Church is hosting its October free community dinner Saturday.

The dinner, which will be held in the Wood Fellowship Hall, located at 209 S. Rowland St., will be served from 4 to 5:30 p.m.

The menu is Soul Food and the dessert is homemade apple pie.

The donated pies are part of a church contest to make the best apple pie, so each pie will have one piece cut from it for the judge’s sampling.

The meal is free to all, but donations are accepted.  To enter the church, park in the O’Keefe Street parking lot and enter the doors on that side of the church.
