Precision Pipeline donated $4,000 to the Niles volleyball program during a presentation ceremony Wednesday at Niles High School.

Half of the money was raised during a charity golf tournament conducted by the pipeline construction company, which is in town working on the Enbridge pipeline replacement project.

The other half came from Precision’s offer to match dollar for dollar what was raised during the golf tournament.

“The Niles community has been so good to us,” said Cameron Klein, vice president of environmental health and safety for Precision Pipeline. “It was our way of saying thanks and wanted to give something back.”

Klein said a number of local vendors donated items that were used in the fundraising effort at the golf outing.
