Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood reports that on Oct. 7, 2013 at 1:14 p.m., his department responded to a three-car injury crash on M152 near Maple Island in Silver Creek Twp.

A vehicle driven by Amanda Miller, 26, of Decatur was heading east on M-152 and had stopped to make a left-hand turn on Maple Island Drive when another vehicle driven by Jane Gard, 66, of Benton Harbor was also eastbound on M-152 and struck the vehicle in front of her, driven by Amanda Miller.

A third vehicle driven by Adala Brito, 23, was also eastbound on M-152 and struck the vehicle driven by Jane Gard. Deputies were assisted on the scene by Sister Lakes Fire Department and Pride Care Ambulance Service.

Seat belts were worn by all parties. The incident remains under investigation.
