The Edwardsburg Board of Education hired Heather Harper as the seventh grade mathematics, algebra and iBiz-Money teacher at its regular meeting Monday night.

Harper, who was recommended by Edwardsburg Middle School Principal Janet MacLean, was formerly employed as a seventh and eighth grade teacher at Green Dot Charter School in Los Angeles.

Harper holds a bachelor of arts degree in marketing and psychology and has completed post-graduate work from California State University, receiving multiple subject credentials in math and science.
