“I am very proud of these girls,” Dowagiac coach Sara Lawrence said. “They battled hard all the way through and that is all I ask of the. I am so proud that they took one set. Amanda Badner and Annie Ennesser had two huge blocks shuting down their top player Holly Tolliver (Miss Volleyball candidate). The whole gym cheered for at least five minutes. It was great.
Katie Dantone played great as libero tonight. She really stepped up and worked that back line. Hazel Kennedy had a few digs at left back corner player. She did well.”
Mary Magin, Ennesser and Gabby Leonard led Dowagiac in serving. Badner was the top hitter with Leonard leading in assists. No individual statistics were provided.
