Dowagiac tennis team tops Coloma

The Dowagiac tennis team defeated visiting Coloma 5-3 in a Wolverine Conference West Division match Wednesday.

Ethan Wager was the lone Chieftain to win in singles competition as he defeated Gerrit Chalus 6-2 and 6-2. Dowagiac picked up a forfeit at No. 4 singles.

Mitch Warsko and David Brogan defeated Chandler Nadean and Tyler Poschke at No. 1 doubles 6-2 and 6-0, while Jennings Brosnan and Tony Kidman defeated Ryan Batey and Zachary Trousdale in a tiebreaker. After splitting the first two sets, Brosnan and Kidman won the tiebreaker 12-10.

Dowagiac also received a forfeit at No. 4 doubles.
