The Niles golf team finished third at its Big 16 West Division match held at Orchard Hills Country Club Monday.

St. Joseph continues to dominate the division as the Bears posted a score of 185. Lakeshore was second with a 218, while the host Vikings shot 237.

Mattawan finished with a 269. Benton Harbor did not have enough golfers to post a team score.

“It was a hot tough day for the girls but they all made it through,” Niles coach Dan Palmer said. “Allison Grant has emerged as the top player for Niles with an average of 52 in her first year on the team.  A model of consistency and hard work, Allison has become a leader for the team.”
