Instead of going out this weekend, why not rent a film?
“Movie 43” stars a whole corral of celebrities, including Kate Winslet, Dennis Quaid, Chloe Moretz, Emma Stone and Hugh Jackman, to name a few.
The movie is about Dennis Quaid, who is presenting a film idea to Hollywood executives to try to get his idea on the silver screen. To do so, he presents a ton of crazy, inappropriate, bizarre segments to try to persuade his idea. Some of these segments include:
• A young girl going through PMS for the first time on a date
• A truth-or-dare game gone horribly wrong,
• A disgusting scene about hot-steamer fetish
This movie is easily one of the worst films that I have watched this year, but why could I not take my eyes away from the screen? It was funny.
One thing I loved about the film is that there were commercials inside it mocking abuse and Apple. They mocked Apple and the iPod by creating a product called the iBabe, and as you have probably guessed, it’s not appropriate at all, or safe.
All these ideas were thought up by Dennis Quaid, which is suspicious.
So, in the long run, it’s a movie inside of a movie inside of many short movies. It is just confusing and stupid.
Now, if the segments were more serious than they were, who knows, this could have been an award-winning movie for its originality and creativity. Instead, they chose to go with the idea that: We have money and celebrities, let’s make it as bad as possible.
This is, for sure, the low point in most of these actors’ careers, but it was fun movie to watch, with a very crazy plot.
I did learn one very important lesson from watching “Movie 43.”
Never, ever, mess with a leprechaun.
