Robert “Bob” J. Lottridge, 90, of Niles went to be with the lord on Sunday, July 28, 2013 after an extended illness.
Bob was born on April 11, 1923 to the late John and Louise (Houser) Lottridge in Watervliet, Michigan.
After graduating from high school Bob was drafted in to the United States Army Air Corp. On Oct. 31, 1942 he wed the love of his life, Mildred “Millie” Weller. Together they had two children. Second to his love for his family was his love for golf and bowling. He was an avid sportsman and participated in golf and bowling leagues in Niles. Bob dearly loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, especially having them over to visit.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents John and Louise and siblings Hannah Brown, Harold Lottridge and John “Duff” Lottridge.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Millie, son Scott (Maria) Lottridge of South Bend, Ind., daughter Tammi (David) Umbenhaur of Buchanan, Mich., grandchildren Heidi Crider of Sun Prairie, Wisc., Brooke (Rob) Brown of Mt. Pleasant, Mich., Joshua (Irene Antisdel) Umbenhaur of Buchanan, Matthew (Christine Williams) Umbenhaur of Vicksburg, Mich., Kari Lynn (Jon) Cook of Minot, N.D., great grandchildren Angelique, Elly, Cecelia, Zoe, Emma, Kylee, Johnathon and Alissa and sister Helen Richmond of St. Joseph, Mich.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday from 10 a.m. to noon at Mission Hills Memorial Chapel with services immediately following. Pastor Fran Lane-Lawrence will be officiating.
