Sen. Proos holding tele-town hall tonight

LANSING—Sen. John Proos, R-St. Joseph, announced today that he will hold a tele-town hall meeting this evening to discuss the recently completed state budget and listen to residents’ priorities, thoughts and concerns. This will be the latest in a series of tele-town halls Proos has held throughout his time in the state legislature.

Proos’ tele-town hall meeting will take place tonight, June 17, 2013 at 7:05 p.m. Residents wishing to participate may join the meeting by calling 877-228-2184 and entering ID Code: 19012, or submit questions via Twitter by using #SWMITownhall.

“Being an effective public servant begins with engaging the people about the many important issues facing our state and our families,” said Proos, R-St. Joseph. “The tele-town hall enables residents to discuss our successes and challenges without having to leave the comfort of home. I look forward to talking with residents tonight as part of my continued efforts to serve the hard-working people of Southwest Michigan to the best of my ability.”
