The 10th annual Chieftain Golf Outing had its biggest number of participants ever at Indian Lake Hills Golf Course Thursday.

A total of 47 teams hit the course and played under beautiful blue skies and temperatures in the mid-70s.

The outing helps raise money for the Dowagiac Athletic Booster Club and the Dowagiac Schools Foundation.

“We have raised over $250,000 for the student-athletes, grades K through 12,” Tom Carlson said.
