Niles blanked by Bears

Six first half goals lifted visiting St. Joseph to an 8-0 Big 16 West Division soccer win over Niles Wednesday.

Sarah Corbe scored a pair of goals and added an assist for the Bears, who improved to 8-4-1 overall and 2-2-1 in the West Division.

Cassidy Helsley also had two goals and an assist.

Niles was outshot by St. Joseph 18-2. Eva Nemeth had 10 saves for the Vikings, who fall to 1-9 overall and 0-6 in the West.
