Niles netters work hard to top Washington

The Niles tennis team defeated visiting South Bend Washington 7-1 in a match that was much closer than the final score.

The Vikings won three of the four single flights, but had to go more than two sets to win all three.

Anna Flahaven defeated Kylee Karczewski 2-6, 6-4 and 7-6, winning the tiebreaker 7-5. Allie Fuller edged Amber Kish 7-5, 3-6, 6-2, while Serenity Wagner split the first two sets 6-4 and 4-6. Wagner then defeated Alwine 10-7 in a match that was shortened by darkness.
