A drug warrant executed in the 400 block of Walnut Street in Dowagiac led to one arrest.

 

Cass County Drug Enforcement Team announced that on May 1 at approximately 2:45 p.m., detectives executed a search warrant in the 400 block of Walnut Street.

 

During the search of the residence detectives located a marijuana grow operation along with individually packaged marijuana intended for sale.  

 

Detectives also located a loaded, sawed-off shotgun and numerous other items used for the sale of illegal narcotics.
One 38-year-old male subject was present during execution of the search warrant and was subsequently taken into custody.  

 

The male subject was lodged at the Cass County Jail for possession of a sawed-off shotgun, felon in possession of a firearm, felony firearm, manufacturing marijuana, possession with intent to deliver marijuana and maintaining a drug House.  

 

He was to be arraigned in Fourth District Court on May 2.
Assisting the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team in execution of the search warrant were the Cass County Warrant Service Team, Cass County Sheriff’s Office road patrol and Dowagiac Police Department.
