Song slinger Susan Harrison performs at the Box Factory for the Arts at 7:30 pm. Saturday. Tickets, available at the door, are $10 for adults; $8 for students and seniors; children 12 and younger are admitted free.
This is Harrison’s first Box Factory appearance. Her original jazzy rock and soul swings and sways. Her performances are sweet, sassy and clever.
“My first guitar was a ruler with rubber bands and she continues to stretch her musical elasticity,” she says.
Harrison performs music for all ages lullaby’s to hospice and performs solo, duo and with her band.  Harrison has seven CDs to her credit, a movie soundtrack and a variety of plays and album cuts. She recognizes the healing powers of music, understanding life is about the bitter and the sweet. She explores the dark corners of life and the view from the top of the Ferris wheel: thought provoking and playful.  An honest expressive songwriter and a compelling live performer, she shares her peaceful, passionate, enthusiasm and keeps on giving, weaving rootsy pop-edged  images  into  a  tapestry  of  melodies with romping rhythms.
