‘Scary Movie 5’
1 out of 5 stars
Rating: PG-13
Genre: Genre

In this dreadful parody of horror films, “Scary Movie 5” incorporates such films as “Mama,” “Paranormal Activity,” “Insidious,” “Sinister,” “Black Swan,” “Rise of the Planet of the Apes,” “Fifty Shades of Grey” and even takes a crack at “Honey Boo Boo.”
“Scary Movie 5” brings in four celebrities who appear for maybe three minutes, which are the best parts. Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan start the film with a crazy nonsexual bed experience, which starts the movie with hope. Then comes in musicians Snoop Lion (Snoop Dogg) and Mac Miller. They continue the greatness while going in the forest to find some weed and end up finding a “Cabin in the Woods.” Miller ends up making a continuous joke, which is by far the best line in the film.
Then they introduce Ashley Tisdale and Simon Rex, who are the “Mama” couple who take in three children raised by a supernatural being.
That is about the whole story.
A supernatural being plans to kill the kids and, in the last three minutes of the movie, the responsible owners try and figure out  what they can do to stop it before it’s too late.
The first four installments were not terrible, but were good enough to be able to sit through. Without Anna Faris, this movie franchise needs to end now.
With “Mama” coming out in January, how was the whole movie made in three months? Maybe if more time had been taken as with “Scary Movie 4,” the quality would have been higher.
“Scary Movie 5” is rated PG-13, which is a big mistake.
The comedy could have been put in a PG movie. Even with this rating, it did not go far enough to make half of it funny. The movie has the same humor as “The Three Stooges.”
Long story short, do not watch this and do not support. “Scary Movie 5” was so bad, it’s scary!
