Letter: Snowmobile club thanks community

To the editor:

Unfortunately this was a poor snowmobile season at best.
Although we had snow, the  conditions were not good for the 50-plus miles of trails that the Four Flags Snowmobile Club maintains. Our neighbors in the Upper Peninsula are still enjoying their snow-filled  trails.
Despite the fact that this season was not the best, the club sends out a heartfelt “thank you” to all of those involved in making this process work. From the landowners who authorize the use of their property, to local businesses who offer their time and resources, to club members and volunteers who tirelessly keep the process going.
Special thanks to the Harbor Sports, Gary’s Greenhouse, MS Outdoors, The Cutting Edge Tree Service, Kenneth Smith Trucking, Murdock Glass, Rise ‘N Shine Restaurant, the Old Tavern Inn, the Irish Spartan Sports Bar, and Buchanan’s Thrill of the Hill event, to name a few.  Before we know it, the process will start all over again, in contacting the landowners for the 2013 – 2014 season.
Thanks Niles for your great community effort and support!
