CASSOPOLIS — Cass County Sheriff Joseph M. Underwood Jr. reports his deputies handled a personal- injury, hit-and-run accident at 12:03 a.m. on March 31 on Diamond View Road, just south of Brownsville in Calvin Township.
The driver, identified as Michelle Donovan, 25, of White Pigeon, reported she swerved to miss an animal, ran off the roadway and struck a garage on a house.

No occupants were home at the time of the accident.

Donovan was transported to Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital in Dowagiac for treatment of minor injuries.
Alcohol was not a factor in the accident, which remains under investigation.
Seatbelts were worn at the time of the accident.
Life Care Ambulance assisted deputies at the scene.
