BATTLE CREEK — Ryan Casey remained undefeated as he helped Niles to a second place finish at the Big 16 Wrestling Championships at Battle Creek Central Saturday.

Casey captured the 189-pound championship with a 7-6 decision over Battle Creek Lakeview’s Rodney Harvey.

Nicholas Zimmerman won the 119-pound title with a pin of Lakeshore’s Aaron Ward in 4:58.

The two titles were not enough for the Vikings to claim the overall championship, which went to Lakeview with 211 points. Niles was second with 199 and Lakeshore third with 172.

St. Joseph did not travel to Battle Creek due to weather conditions.

Warren Smith finished second at 135 pounds after being pinned by Gull Lake’s Kemps Miller in 2:51.

Brendon Meek finished third, Darek Bullock-Mills fourth, Noah Hall fourth, Alex Bata fourth, Fritzel Findeisen fifth, Jerrico Lamberton fifth and Derek Scott fifth.
