Look Insurance held its grand opening with the Four Flags Area Chamber of Commerce on Wednesday in front of its office at 224 N. Front St. in Niles.

The business opened in June. Agent Ken Kendall, a Westland native, has been a Cass County resident for more than 10 years. He currently lives in Vandalia.

Kendall worked in the manufactured home business for 27 years before moving to the auto insurance business two years ago at the request of his father’s friend, who also happens to be the owner of Look Insurance, which has 80 locations statewide. It is a Michigan-only business.

Kendall also runs a Look Insurance office in Benton Harbor. Look Insurance is a niche auto insurance agency that specializes in high-risk individuals. It offers no-fault auto insurance regardless of driving record, credit history or lapse in coverage and can provide instant proof of insurance.

“If they have any of those items, or multiples of those items, I am the guy to come see,” he said.

Kendall is hoping the partnership with the Four Flags Chamber of Commerce will help business pick up.

“It’s been a slow start,” Kendall said. “I think a little bit of a bump here with the chamber of commerce will be a needed one. Hopefully, people will recognize me a little more because I am here to stay.”
