Gabriel Emerson is a Dante specialist by day, but, at night, he throws all inhibitions out the window to revel in a nighttime of debauchery. When graduate student Julia Mitchell arrives at his lecture, he cannot determine the source of his inexplicable connection to her and treats her with an air of aloofness. Julia is quiet and shy but is drawn to the enigmatic professor.

Gabriel struggles to find acceptance and love as he tries to deal with the past he has regarded as his personal hell. Julia struggles to escape from the prison created by her personal demons.

With “Gabriel’s Inferno,” Sylvain Reynard has created an intriguing and seductive tale that takes on matters of redemption, clandestine relationships and enticement.

The sequel, “Gabriel’s Rapture,” picks up where its predecessor left off. This is a great read for lovers of contemporary romance or anyone who has enjoyed Jamie McGuire’s “Beautiful Disaster.”
