Tina and Michael Newman announce the engagement of their daughter, Kalie Newman, to Matthew Wieger, of Buchanan. The couple will be married Aug. 3, 2013, in Niles.

The bride-to-be’s maternal grandparents are Sandy Taylor and Robert Albrecht. Her paternal grandparents are Davis and the late Opal Newman.

Kalie is a 2006 Brandywine High School graduate. She graduated from Ferris State University in 2010 with a business administration degree. She is employed by Niles Precision Company.

The groom-to-be is the son of Katherine and George Wieger. His maternal grandparents are Nancy and the late Patrick Malone. His paternal grandparents are Margaret and the late George Wieger.

Matthew is a 2006 Brandywine High School graduate. He graduated in 2010 from Michigan State University with a supply chain management degree and he is pursuing a master of business administration degree. He is employed by Bayer Healthcare.
