Tim Skubick, long-time Michigan political journalist, will present his Town Hall series on the fall election at Southwestern Michigan College at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the theater of the Dale A. Lyons Building on the Dowagiac campus.
Skubick has covered Michigan government and politics longer than any other journalist in the state — 42 years. He anchors the weekly public TV series, “Off the Record,” and covers the capitol for a variety of media outlets, including WKBK-TV and NewsRadio 950 in Detroit.
He is on the Michigan Radio Network with 66 radio stations and writes a daily blog at mlive.com. The author of two books and owner of four Emmys, Skubick has a bachelor of arts degree and a baster of arts degree from Michigan State University, and is a member of the Michigan Journalism and Broadcast Halls of Fame.
The Town Hall series covers the fall elections at the presidential, state and ballot-issue level. The series allows interactive participation for the audience where he roams around the theater talking about the election and today’s politics.
The event kicks off the college’s fall academic lecture series, which is free and open to the public. To reserve a seat, call (269) 782-1280 and leave your name, phone number and the number of seats you would like to reserve.
